In the reaction of N,N-disubstituted 3-amino-3-chloropropenylidenedimethyliminium salts 2 with sodium sulfide or sodium selenide, a simple route for preparing N,N-disubstituted 3-aminothioacryldimethylamides 3 and N,N-disubstituted 3-aminoselenoacryldimethylamides 4, respectively, was elaborated.
