Enantiomer-differentiating oxidation of racemic 1,3-diarylallenes using optically active (salen)manganese(III) complex (1) as a catalyst, was found to proceed with high relative rate constants (up to 23), providing the enantiomerically enriched 1,3-diarylallenes.
