Spezifisches Schnelligkeitstraining, insbesondere das Training der Sprintfähigkeit, hat in den letzten Jahren im Spielsport enorm an Bedeutung gewonnen. Trotzdem basiert das Training häufig auf Trivialliteratur sowie wenig fundierten Methoden und limitiert so seinen Stellenwert.
