Kontraindikationen zur Nierenlebendspende

Die Nierentransplantation ist zu einer Standardtherapie für Patienten mit terminaler Niereninsuffizienz geworden. Bei Eurotransplant waren am 1.5.2005 12 008 Patienten für die Transplantation einer Leichenniere gelistet (9041 aus Deutschland). Bei 3184 Nierentransplantationen im Jahr 2004 (Deutschland: 1985) liegt ein erhebliches Missverhältnis zwischen Angebot und Nachfrage vor, das Wartezeiten von im Mittel 4 - 6 Jahren erklärt [www.eurotransplant.nl]. Deshalb ist in den Industrieländern die Rate von Lebendspenden in den letzten Jahren stetig gestiegen. Sie betrug 2004 in Deutschland 19,7 % [www.dso.de].

Die Nierenlebendspende stellt für den Empfänger die qualitativ beste Nierenersatztherapie dar. Bei der Entscheidung für oder gegen eine Lebendspende müssen jedoch die individuellen Interessen des Empfängers und das gesellschaftliche Interesse an einer optimalen Therapie terminal niereninsuffizienter Patienten gegen das potenzielle Risiko für den Spender abgewogen werden [29] [30]
