Significance

[n]Cycloparaphenylenes ([n]CPPs) are considered promising precursors for the selective synthesis of [n,n] single-walled carbon ­nanotubes. The authors demonstrate a modular route yielding [n]CPPs for n = 14-16 (4a-c).
