• Epidemiologie: Neue Daten zeigen hohe Inzidenz des Diabetes mellitus in Deutschland.

• Lebensstil-Intervention: Individuelle Präferenzen der Patienten beachten statt strenge Ernährungsempfehlungen zur Fettreduktion vorgeben.

• Therapieziele: Individuelle Ziele definieren und nicht über das Ziel hinausschießen.

• Kardiovaskuläre Prävention: Fehlender Nachweis von Acetylsalicylsäure bei der Primärprävention.

• Therapie einer manifesten KHK: Interventionelles Vorgehen bringt keinen Vorteil.
