The substitution reactions of Sulfenic acid halides are particularly sulfenylations of OH, SH, NH, and CH compounds. In this part of the review, the applicability of the individual methods is dealt with in each case; in addition, attention is paid to abnormal reaction sequences. Bis-sulfenyl chlorides, ω-chlorocarbonylsulfenyl chlorides, and possibly substituted chloromethanesulfenyl chlorides can be called upon for cyclization reactions.
