Einleitung

In diesem Übersichtsartikel werden neben den pathophysiologischen Grundlagen die wichtigsten kritischen Herzfehler der Neonatalperiode, deren adäquate Versorgung im Kreißsaal sowie die möglichen konventionellen, interventionellen oder operativen Therapieoptionen dargestellt. Im Besonderen werden auch die klinischen Symptome kritischer angeborener Herzfehler und die für die Erstversorgenden entscheidenden Therapiekonzepte zur Stabilisierung des Neugeborenen präsentiert. Der Artikel gliedert sich in 2 Teile: Im ersten Teil in dieser Ausgabe werden diagnoseübergreifend Pathophysiologie, Diagnostik und Grundlagen der Behandlung kritischer Herzfehler des Neugeborenen dargestellt. Im zweiten Teil des Artikels, den Sie in einer der nächsten Ausgaben lesen können, liegt der Schwerpunkt auf der Darstellung spezieller ausgewählter kritischer Herzfehler des Neugeborenen, deren pathophysiologischen Besonderheiten, der Diagnostik, dem initialen Management und möglichen Therapieoptionen.
