ABSTRACT

Photoaddition of cysteamine hydrochloride to perallylated D-glucose lead to a sugar-derived pentaamine, which may serve as carbohydrate core molecule for the formation of glycoclusters and glycodendrimers and afforded a pentaantennary thiourea-bridged glycocluster upon reaction with peracetylated mannosyl isothiocyanate.
