Ergebnisse der Zyklokryokoagulation bei Glaucoma chronicum mit engem Kammerwinkel

Zusammenfassung

Die Erfolgsrate der Zyklokryokoagulation beim Glaucoma chronicum mit engem Kammerwinkel beträgt 86% (postoperativer Druck mit oder ohne lokale Therapie unter 23 mm Hg). Damit stellt dieser Eingriff eine Alternative zur fistulierenden Operation dar, besonders beim Glaucoma chronicum mit engem Kammerwinkel, um die Gefahr eines malignen Glaukoms zu vermeiden. - Interessant ist die postoperative Beobachtung, dass der Kammerwinkel durch diesen Eingriff erweitert wird. Offen bleibt noch, ob die drucksenkende Wirkung der Zyklokryotherapie neben der Verminderung der Kammerwassersekretion auch auf eine Abflußverbesserung zurückzuführen ist.

Summary

Cyclocryocoagulation is successful in 86% of eyes with narrow-angle glaucoma, i.e., intraocular pressure is lowered to a maximum of 23 mm Hg with or without additional local therapy postoperatively. Therefore, this procedure represents a real alternative to the fistulating operation, especially with regard to prevention of malignant glaucoma. One interesting observation was the postoperative widening of the chamber angle. It is still not known whether the pressure-lowering effect is caused not only by a reduction in aqueous production but also by an improvement in outflow.
