Abstract

Glycine-N-amide substituted catechol and 8-hydroxyquinoline ligands were prepared and were used to obtain mixtures of isomers of dicatecholate molybdenum(VI)dioxo and tris-8-hydroxyquinolinate gallium(III) complexes. Upon addition of nitrate to the complex [(5)2MoO2]2- an allosteric binding of the metal as well as of the anion takes place.
