Zusammenfassung

Magnesium hat vasodilatatorische, antientzündliche und antiarrhythmische Eigenschaften. Auch bei normalen Werten im Serum kann ein Magnesiummangel vorliegen. Die überwiegende Zahl der klinischen Studien zeigt deutlich eine Schutzwirkung von Magnesium auf kardiovaskuläre Erkrankungen und Risikofaktoren. Eine ausreichende Aufnahme von Magnesium sollte deshalb unbedingt erfolgen. Magnesiumhaltige Nahrungsmittel und Mineral- und Heilwässer sind wesentliche Bestandteile einer gesunden Ernährung und kardioprotektiven Lebensweise.
