Introduction
Foetal abdominal mass is an uncommon condition requiring careful evaluation. Antenatal ultrasonography (US) provides an opportunity for the early detection of foetal intra-abdominal masses, allowing surgeons to prepare for early postnatal intervention. Undescended testis is a common condition with a prevalence of 3.4% at birth in full-term newborns. It is considered to be a major risk factor for the development of testicular germ cell tumour in later life. This report describes a rare case of mature teratoma in an undescended testis detected as a foetal abdominal mass.
