Significance

A one-pot formation of C-C and
C-N bonds through palladium-catalyzed dual C-H activation is reported. Palladium(II) acetate catalyzes the silver oxide mediated ring closure between a N-methoxybenzamide and an aryl iodide, furnishing substituted phenanthridinones in high yields.
