Significance

Polymer-supported chiral dirhodium(II) complex 4 was prepared by copolymerization of complex 2 with 1 and 3 (eq. 1). Complex 4 catalyzed the asymmetric intramolecular C-H insertion of diazo esters (5, 7, and 9) to give the corresponding cyclic compounds (6, 8, and 10) in 83-86% yield with 91-94% ee (eqs. 2-4).
