Suzuki-Miyaura Couplings with Palladium Membrane Installed Microreactors

Significance

Instantaneous catalytic carbon-carbon bond-forming reactions were achieved with catalytic membrane-installed µ-devices having a polymeric palladium membrane. The Suzuki-Miyaura coupling was performed with the catalytic membrane-installed µ-devices 1-3 to afford the corresponding products within 4-5 seconds of residence time. The µ-device 1 was applied to the preparation of synthetic intermediates of medicines and functional materials.
