Significance
(+)-Peloruside A is a potent microtubule stabilizer isolated from a marine sponge in 2000. The first total synthesis was reported by De Brabander and co-workers (Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. 2003, 115, 1686). This synthesis of (+)-peloruside A was published back-to-back with a paper from Hoye and co-workers (see Synfacts 2010, 1331).
