Significance

This work reports a nucleophilic addition to N-alkoxyamides in a sequential one-pot procedure that does not require preactivation of the amide. The reaction proceeds well for acyclic amides and macrocycles. Even an intramolecular allylation of an acyclic N-methoxyamide was successful.
