Significance

This work reports a nucleophilic ­addition to N-alkoxyamides in a sequential one-pot procedure that does not require preactivation of the amide. The reaction proceeds well for ­acyclic amides and macrocycles. Even an intra­molecular allylation of an acyclic N-methoxyamide was successful.
