Was ist neu?

• Schilddrüsenerkrankungen: Die „American Thyroid Association” (ATA) aktualisierte die Leitlinie zum Vorgehen bei Schilddrüsenknoten und Schilddrüsenkarzinomen; Elastografie und kontrastmittelverstärkter Ultraschall (CEUS) erweitern die Diagnostik bei Schilddrüsenknoten; Molekulare Tests verbessern die zytologische Diagnostik bei der Feinnadelaspiration von Schilddrüsenknoten.

• Osteoporose: Die Fachgesellschaften des Dachverbandes Osteologie e. V. (DVO) veröffentlichten eine neuen Leitlinie mit Empfehlungen zu Diagnostik und Therapie der Osteoporose; die Langzeitanwendung von Bisphosphonaten scheint die Häufigkeit atypischer Femurfrakturen nicht zu erhöhen. Im Zulassungsverfahren der EMEA wurde der RANKL-Antikörper Denosumab zur Behandlung der Osteoporose durch das „Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use” positiv bewertet.
