Summary

Körperliche Bewegung kann den Verlauf von Gefäßerkrankungen positiv beeinflussen und die Sterblichkeit bei Herz-Kreislauf-Erkrankungen senken. Entscheidend dabei ist neben der Häufigkeit vor allem die Intensität der Bewegung. Die Dosierung der Intensität des Sportprogramms orientiert sich entweder am Energieverbrauch oder an der aeroben Kraft, die während der körperlichen Aktivität angewendet wird. Welcher Sport ausgeübt wird, hat jedoch keinen eindeutigen Einfluss auf den Gesundheitseffekt.
