Introduction

Adrenocortical tumors are extremely rare in children. The annual worldwide incidence of adrenocortical tumors in children under 15 years of age has been estimated at 0.3 – 0.38 per million [8]. While only 25 cases of adrenocortical tumors occur annually in the United States in patients younger than 20 years of age [3], 65 % of them occur in children younger than 5 years of age [6]. We present here an unusual case of an infant presenting with a large, active adrenocortical tumor that was removed laparoscopically.
