Summary
The co-existence of aortic-valve stenosis and gastrointestinal angiodysplasia or occult gastrointestinal bleeding is called Heyde's syndrome. There is, however, still controversy about its epidemiology and pathogenesis. Current knowledge of Heyde's sSyndrome is reviewed here, with special regard of its epidemiology, pathogenesis and clinical features.
