1-tert-Butoxycarbonyl 1,2-diaza-1,3-butadienes react with activated methylenic and methinic compounds to achieve α-substituted hydrazones, that, in the presence of thionyl chloride used as solvent-reactant, produce new and interesting 1,2,3-thiadiazoles via Hurd-Mori reaction.
