A new type of antiferroelectric liquid crystalline molecule of dimeric TFMHPOBO analogue with tri-methylene tether (3-DmTFMHPOBC) was synthesized based on the binaphthol-titanium complex-catalyzed tandem and two-directional fluoral-ene reaction with vinyl sulfides.
