Publication History
Publication Date:
31 December 2000 (online)

The fungus Corynosporium cassiicola DSM 62475 is shown to induce deracemization in certain 1,2-diols, including the synthetically important indane-1,2-diol, by enantioconvergent stereoinversion processes in which the recovered enantiomer is not a substrate for the dehydrogenase enzymes involved.
