Herein we report a modified procedure for the preparation of Rac-ethylenebis(η 5-indenyl)zirconium dichloride (EBIZrCl2) which does not require the use of any special precautions. Included is an improved procedure for the synthesis of 1,2-bis(3-indenyl)ethane.
