The reaction of the ynehydrazine derivative 1 with aryl isocyanates 2 yields 3-arylimino-1,1,2-trimethyl-5-oxo-4-(trimethylsilyl)-pyrazolidinium-4-ides 3, which can be desilylated with fluoride ion under retention of the betaine structure.
