A highly selective S_N’ reaction of allylic phosphates with various aluminum alkyls under CuCN catalysis is described. The addition of CuCN to aluminum alkyls (AlR₃) alters the regioselectivity of C-C bond formation in THF or ethyl acetate giving almost exclusively S_N’ products in high yields.
