Synthesis of N-tert-Alkylglyoxylic Acid Amides The synthesis of N-(1,1,3,3-tetramethylbutyl)glyoxamide (3) and N-tert-butylglyoxylamide (7) by Swern oxidation of hydroxyacetamide 2, and cleavage of tartaric acid diamide 5 and fumaric acid diamide 6 is reported.
