The Preparation of Functionalised Aryl Phosphines from Aryl Fluorides by Nucleophilic Aromatic Substitution with Potassium Diphenylphosphide

The reaction of o-substituted aryl fluorides with potassium diphenylphosphide affords the corresponding o-substituted aryl phosphines by nucleophilic aromatic substitution in 72-96% yield. The products have wide application as ligands and ligand precursors.
