Caesium fluoroxysulfate in methanol has been shown to effect the regioselective fluoro-destannylation of alkenyl and heteroaryl substrates under mild reaction conditions. Substrates in which the tin group is attached to a benzylic centre gave anomolous products, the α-fluoroketones.
