A sulfonyl radical induced addition-cyclization reaction of 1,6-heptadienes, 4-aza-1,6-heptadienes and cis,cis-1,5-cyclo-octadiene with allylsulfones giving functionalized cyclopentane or pyrrolidine systems is described.
