Significance

The authors report a protocol for anti-diastereo- and enantioselective carbonyl (α-trifluoromethyl)allylation. The allylated products were generally obtained in high yields with excellent levels of diastereo- and enantioselectivity. The ability to employ alcohols as starting material and catalytic organometallic reagents is noteworthy.
