Significance
Titanium-exchanged ZSM-5 (Ti-ZSM-5) was prepared by treatment of ZSM-5 with an aqueous solution of TiCl4 (eq. 1). Ti-ZSM-5 catalyzed the allylation of aldehydes with allyltributylstannane to give the corresponding homoallylic alcohols in 71-85% yield (10 examples, eq. 2).
