Significance

A novel method for the oxidative coupling of aryl O-methyl oximes with unactivated alkenes via C-H bond activation using a rhodium(III) catalyst is described. The new reaction proceeds in moderate to good yield in the presence of Cu(OAc)2 as oxidant and AgSbF6 as halide abstractor.
