Dear readers, authors and friends of Endoscopy,

With this first issue of Endoscopy in 2011, I would like to wish you all a happy and healthy New Year!

During 2010 substantial changes took place within the co-editorship of the journal. Three good friends and exceptional colleagues, Horst Neuhaus, Jacques Devière and Guido Costamagna, stepped down from their position as Endoscopy Co-Editors and three new colleagues accepted our invitation to come on board. Our new Co-Editors, Michael Bretthauer, Mario Dinis-Ribeiro and Andrea May recently joined our team and we welcome them warmly. We all will continue our endeavors to provide our readers with an interesting journal dedicated to important prospective clinical studies plus innovative, and at times, experimental papers.

I would also like to take the opportunity to thank the people that make Endoscopy possible through their contributions and thoughtful comments – our authors and reviewers (see below).

Looking forward to a fruitful and exciting year ahead
