Significance
(+)-Crocacin C was isolated from Chondromyces crocatus and Chondromyces pediulatus in 1994 and displays moderate antifungal, antibacterial, and cytotoxic activities. The total synthesis is achieved here in an impressive 22.3% overall yield.
