An Efficient Synthesis of Highly Functionalized 4H-Pyrano[3,2-d]isoxazoles via Isocyanide-Based Three-Component Reaction

Abstract

We present a novel, convenient, and efficient method for synthesizing polysubstituted 4H-pyrano[3,2-d]isoxazoles based on a three-component reaction. The zwitterions generated from the ­reaction of isocyanides and dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates are ­reacted with 3-phenylisoxazol-4-(5H)-one to produce the title compounds in good yield.
