Zusammenfassung

An 276 Patienten wurde nach Abdominaloperationen ein Doppeltblindversuch unternommen. Dabei zeigte sich, daß mittels Faktor-XIII-Substitution die Quote postoperativer Wundheilungsstörungen statistisch signifikant vermindert werden konnte. Der normalerweise postoperativ erfolgende Abfall der Faktor-XIII-Konzentrationen konnte in den Mittelwerten weitgehend und bei genügend hoher Dosierung völlig verhindert werden.

Summary

A double blind trial was performed in 276 patients after abdominal operations. It was shown that post-operative disorders of wound healing could be reduced statistically significantly by factor XIII substitution. The usual post-operative decrease of factor XIII concentration could largely be prevented and after sufficiently high doses completely suppressed.
