Embolisation eines inoperablen Nierentumors durch intraarterielle Applikation von Thrombin bei Ballonverschluß der Nierenarterie

Zusammenfassung

Bei einem 53jährigen Mann gelang die Embolisation eines inoperablen metastasierenden Nierenkarzinoms. Mit einem in die Nierenarterie eingelegten Ballonkatheter wurden Stasebedingungen in der tumorbefallenen Niere hergestellt. Zur Thrombosierung des in der Niere befindlichen Blutes wurden 600 NIH Thrombin über den Ballonkatheter injiziert. Mit kurzzeitiger Schmerzbekämpfung und unter Antibiotika-Schutz war der postembolische Verlauf komplikationslos. Das Allgemeinbefinden des Patienten ist gut. Die Makrohämaturie sistiert seit über zwei Monaten.

Summary

In a 53-year-old man with an inoperable metastasizing renal carcinoma embolie occlusion of the renal circulation was achieved by injection of thrombin (600 NIH units) through a balloon catheter into the renal artery. With short-term administration of analgesics and under antibiotic cover the post-embolic course ran without complications. The general condition of the patient is good and macrohaematuria had, at the time of the report, not recurred for two months.
