Eosinophilie und retikulo-noduläre Lungenveränderungen

Zusammenfassung

Von einem 55 Jahre alt gewordenen Patienten, der retikulo-noduläre Infiltrationen beider Lungen und eine Bluteosinophilie aufwies, war anamnestisch ein mehrmonatiger Tropenaufenthalt bekanntgeworden. Diese Trias ließ an eine Filarieninfektion denken (Weingarten-Syndrom). Die abschließende Diagnose lautete jedoch metastasierendes Adenokarzinom der Lunge. Diese Diagnose konnte aufgrund der ungewöhnlichen Pleuramanifestation des Tumors erst durch die histologische Untersuchung des Obduktionsmaterials gestellt werden.

Summary

A 55-year-old patient with reticulo-nodular infiltrations of both lungs and eosinophilia had previously been living in the tropics for several months. The clinical triad suggested filarial infection. But the final diagnosis proved to be metastasizing adenocarcinoma of the lung, as demonstrated at autopsy.
