Eltrombopag: Neue Therapieoption bei aplastischer Anämie

Die erworbene aplastische Anämie führt über autoimmunologische Prozesse zu einem Knochenmarksversagen und zu einer Panzytopenie. In jüngster Zeit ergaben sich Hinweise, dass der orale Thrombopoetin-Rezeptor-Agonist Eltrombopag zusätzlich zu der standardmäßig durchgeführten immunsuppressiven Therapie die Prognose der Patienten verbessert. Dies konnte jetzt in einer Phase-3-Studie bestätigt werden.
