Montmollironite K10-Promoted Synthesis of 1,4-Dithiane Derivatives from β,β′-Dichloro Sulfides and Hydrogen Sulfide

Abstract

The reaction of β,β′-dichloro sulfides, prepared by the addition of sulfur dichloride to olefins, with hydrogen sulfide was promoted by montmollironite K10 to afford 1,4-dithiane derivatives in good to excellent yields.
