Abstract

An o-phenylenebis(N′-methyloxamidate) cobalt(III) complex works as an efficient catalyst for the oxidation of propargylic alcohols to the corresponding α,β-acetylenic carbonyl compounds, in the presence of pivalaldehyde, under an atmospheric pressure of molecular oxygen.
