Abstract

This chapter describes the use of magnetic resonance (MR) angiography for the evaluation of hemodialysis shunts. The specific sequences and results with this technique are described herein. The author states that a single contrast 3D-TOF MR angiography may be sufficient to depict and grade lesions on dialysis fistulas, and may be used for tests for shunt dysfunction.
