Abstract

In the past several years, computed tomography fluoroscopy (CTF) has proved a valuable new technique to guide the biopsy of intrathoracic lesions. Several approaches to using CTF are discussed. We have found an interrupted real-time technique optimal to facilitate biopsy of percutaneous lung nodules, particularly for small lesions. The use of CTF to guide transbronchial needle aspiration is another potentially important application that is described in this review.
