Abstract
The lectins from Hura crepitans (Euphorbiaceae) seeds were isolated by a three steps procedure including ammonium sulfate precipitation, molecular sieving on Sephadex G 200 and affinity chromatography on Sepharose 4B. The lectins appear to be glycoproteins composed of apparently identical subunits with a molecular weight of 23000. Their main biological properties are reported.
