Fazit

Derzeit sollte Patienten mit einer iliofemoralen oder auch einer kavalen Thrombose eine Therapie zur Thrombusbeseitigung angeboten werden, obwohl dazu zurzeit nur wenige prospektive randomisierte Daten vorliegen. Die chronisch venöse Obstruktion gewinnt in der Pathophysiologie des postthrombotischen Syndromes an Bedeutung. Die endovaskuläre Rekanalisation bietet hier neue therapeutische Möglichkeiten zur Behandlung des postthrombotischen Syndromes.
