Zusammenfassung

Oxidativer Stress ist ein wichtiger pathogener Faktor für Sub- und Infertilität bei Männern und Frauen. Erhöhte Konzentrationen von reaktiven Sauerstoffspezies (ROS) beeinträchtigen sowohl Funktion und Lebensfähigkeit von Spermien als auch die Oogenese sowie das Zustandekommen und den Verlauf einer Schwangerschaft. Antioxidanzien, insbesondere Coenzym Q10, kommt daher eine besondere Bedeutung in der Therapie von Fertilitätsstörungen zu.
