Introduction
Pneumatosis intestinalis (PI) means is accumulation of gas in the bowel wall. It may occur throughout the gastrointestinal tract but is rarely seen in the stomach. Gastric PI is primarily a radiological diagnosis. Its origin is not completely understood.
